Operations Programmer

Overview: The primary role of the Operations Programmer is to fulfill all programming responsibilities for research projects from sample processing to survey programming to data processing and tabulation. The Operations Programmer works closely with members of the research team and other members of operations to understand client requirements so that deliverables can be created in the most efficient way and at the highest level of quality. The Operations Programmer also works closely with the VP of Operations to develop and document best practices impacting all areas of operations in the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with internal clients (researchers) on project specifications
  • Advise on realistic time lines for survey programming and tabulation
  • Coordinate and consult with other members of operations team on best setup for most efficient data delivery and tabulation
  • Perform quality control checks at all levels of programming
  • Provide all programming and technical services needed in support of online questionnaire programming
  • Interpret project needs and requirements, develop and debug web-based survey programs, and perform maintenance as needed throughout the lifecycle of project
  • Review survey questionnaires and formulate recommendations to ensure efficient programming and optimal data layout
  • Review banner specifications and make recommendations to ensure efficient tabulation and meaningful table output that supports reporting needs
  • Complete projects on time and/or notifying appropriate staff with alternate plans when necessary

Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree with 0-2 years experience. Computer Science coursework is a must.
  • Strong computer and logic skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with web programming languages (HTML, Javascript, ASP, CSS, etc.) is a must
  • Prior experience with Confirmit, SPSS, or other survey software is a plus
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task and prioritize are a must.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to independently learn new software

Research Assistant

Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior researchers across numerous tasks, including checking and proofing data , writing reports, and designing statistical displays.
  • Take the lead (with oversight) on basic questionnaire design, and assist and proof increasingly complex designs.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks across teams.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree with 0-2 years experience. Statistical coursework is a must.
  • Strong computer and logic skills, specifically related to Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Communications skills are important, particularly in writing, editing and proofreading.
  • Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task are a must.
  • Desire for a career of learning as this role will look to progress through more advanced research positions.
  • A background (educational coursework or other) in healthcare or basic knowledge of the healthcare system is a plus.

Director / Vice President (P021-8)

Role: With 5-10 years of primary research experience on client or vendor side, a Researcher's role is to isolate and define specific and general client needs, develop multi-faceted solutions for those needs, and implement the required consultative project. Researchers take a highly active role in the design and analysis, providing learning opportunities for others. They have reached proficiency in statistical applications. They moderate qualitative discussions and in-depth interviews. They provide insight to clients based on their experience in previous engagements and relative to the current research. They are a team player and committed to client and 360 degree employee satisfaction.

Background that fits: Completed graduate coursework at Master's level is required. Ph.D. Preferred. Healthcare coursework, experience, and research a plus, with focus on health services sector. Strong work ethic and desire to take the ball and run! Candidates are most likely to succeed if they are naturally inquisitive, and tend to focus on details. Experience in managing multi-million $$ P&Ls is a plus.

Workload: Full to part-time options, with starting minimum commitment of 10-16 hours per week. Mix of working from home and office, with some travel (at least, monthly).
